Magnificent rice terraces in Northwest of Vietnam

The best time to travel the northwest of Vietnam is from mid September to late October when the local harvest season begins and the weather is pleasant and easy for moving.

Unlike other plain area, the agriculture of this mountainous is associated with rice terrace due to poor soil and water. Besides, only one crop is produced per year because of climate. Not only providing foods for daily life of locals, the rice terraces also feature some of the most spectacular landscapes in the world.

The harvest season varies from September to October, depending on each place. Rice in Sapa is earliest ripe, followed by rice in Mu Cang Chai, Hoang Su Phi. These are also the most incredible terrace fields that every tourists must see when visiting Vietnam.
