1. The Old Town of Hoi An

Hoi An is a small yet historical and cultural rich city in Vietnam. Located just south of Da Nang, The Old Town of Hoi An has been recognized by UNESCO as World Cultural Heritage. Hoi An, also known as Faifo, used to be an important international port during the 16th and 17th centuries. Hoi An has long been famous for its charming old streets with colorful lanterns and cultural diveristy.

The city is small so visitors can walk around such lovely small yet so crowded streets most of the time. In addition, visitors can rent bicycles and motorbikes to go to the beach and nearby attractions. Most hotels provides motorbikes for rent just around 80,000 VND / hour.

Sa Huynh Culture Museum currently displays 216 artifacts dating from around 2,000 years ago. Sa Huynh Culture originated from Da Nang, Quang Nam and Binh Thuan in Central Vietnam. 4. Cu Lao Cham

Located about 18 km distance from Cua Dai (Hoi An) to East China Sea, Cu Lao Cham or Cham island is a cluster of 8 small islands closely connected together. 5. Phung Hung Ancient House

100 year – old Phung Hung House in Hoi An is exquisitely designed with a wooden room directly below the roof of the house and wide surrounding corridors. The house is a great example of ancient Asian architecture during the past centuries. The house also provides information about the lifestyle of the merchant class in the ancient trading port of Hoi An.

6. Bang An Tower

Bang An Tower located in Dien An Commune, Dien Ban District, on Highway 14B, about 30km to the south of Da Nang, and 1.2 km to the west of Hoi An. During the 12th century, King Bhadravarman II issued the command to build one temple so – called LINGA PARAMESVARA to offer it respectfully to the God Siva. The only octagon – shaped tower features exquisite and exclusive architecture which is totally unlike any tower that still exists today.

Tourists can travel to Bang An Tower by 50 – seat car. Located in a total area of 4,000 m² there are asphalted roads and a wide parking site.

7. The Museum of Trade Ceramics, Hoi An

Since its opening in 1995, the museum displays over 430 ceramic artifacts dating from the VIII-IX centuries to the XVII-XVIII centuries. Most of the potteries originate from the Middle East, India, China, Japan, Thailand, Vietnam … It illustrates the important role of the trading port of Hoi An in the ceramic trade network in the East Asian Sea in the old days. Hoi An also plays a vital role in establishing diplomatic relations, cultural exchange and promoting local economy.

8. Bang Than, An Hoa

Along coastal Tam Hai beach about 4 km, visitors flocked to An Hoa. Visitors encountered a small island known as Hon Dua also the Pineapple Island. In the afternoon, the island is beautiful and colorful with red basalt soil, green herb, blue waters and white waves crashing onto the rocks.

There are two famous beaches in An Hoa, including Bai Bac (in the North), and Bai Nom (in the South). From Bai Nom, we can travel by boat to Hon Mang and Hon Dua. Beneath the blue sea, visitors are deeply impressed by the immense white of the coral reef with multi – colored fishes swimming joyfully in the water.

9. Tan Ky ancient house

Tan Ky ancient house

Tan Ky Ancient House built over 200 years ago, is located in downtown Hoi An. The typical tube – shaped house has been recognized by UNESCO as World Cultural Heritage. The interior of the house is divided into several rooms, each has its own function. The furnishing is mostly made of valuable wood finely sculpted with patterns like dragons, fruits and so forth. The house shows off the prosperity of its owners. There were seven generations living in Tan Ky House. Tan Ky is one of the few ancient houses which still remains these days.
