Con Dao is located 79 sea miles from Vung Tau City – a beach town about 120km south-west of Ho Chi Minh City. The popular way to get there is to take a 1-hour flight from Ho Chi Minh. Vietnam Airlines. Taking a fly to the islands probably is the best option. Otherwise, you can take a ferry from Vung Tau at around 17:00 and arrive at 5:00 next day. The schedule of ferry is announced every month and different depending on weather and sea condition each month. The fee is from VND 150.000-200.000/each way.
You should rent a motorbike (VND 120.000-150.000/day) to travel on the island since there is no taxis service.
3. Attractions
– Historical sites: open from 8:00AM to 5:00PM every day. Ticket price is VND 20.000/person.
