My wife and I had a wonderful wedding 5 months ago and together we also spent honeymoon in amazing Sapa. We argued a lot to pick a place for our honeymoon. There were so many couples choosing beaches or luxury resorts for their honeymoon but we were completely different and decided to choose Sapa.
Sapa is where a lot of mountains and great weather found, the temperature ranges from 15 to 18 degrees Celsius. Many people look for the comfort and pleasant stay in their honeymoon but we also wanted to have experiences and to discover new facts in our trip even though it could be dangerous. If you have the same thought as ours, Sapa is a great choice.
Sapa is a frontier town and capital of Sapa District in Lao Cai province in Northwest Vietnam. It is one of the main market towns in the area, where several ethnic minority groups such as Hmong, Dao (Yao), Giay, Pho Lu, and Tay live. Sapa is home for many mountains and each there brings its own beauty. We have been to Ham Rong Mountain and Mount Fansipan. Ham Rong Mountain is located close to the central of the town where beautiful and romantic scenery appeared and we had a lot of pictures with this mountain. Mount Fansipan was a very big challenge for us. This is the highest mountain in Indochina with the height of exactly3143 meters. On the way, we were facing a lot of troubles, but when we got to the top of the mountain, it was the best feeling ever before.
We were very interested in the souvenirs and traditional products made by hand and when we went to Sapa, we bought so many things such as handbags, wallets, shirts made by brocade …The ethnic people weave them mostly by hand. They are beautiful with sophisticated decoration and really comfortable to wear. Besides there were so many things attracted us like fruits, wines or traditional dishes.
Coming to Sapa is also an opportunity for us to see the life of people there. We visited two villages in Sapa. People there are mostly poor and unequipped. We saw children wearing ragged clothes or even naked while running on the street. They look so skinny when they do not have anything good to eat. But when we went there, people always gave us a smile and helped us with enthusiasm. That really made us very happy indeed.
Through this trip, we collected a lot of things. First we understood more about our country and Sapa. Next we became closer and understand each other better when facing difficulties during the trip and life of people in Sapa made us appreciate more what we had and try to live better in future. The time we had in Hanoi and Ha Long Bay after that were also great, but what we had got in Sapa was experience that we cannot forget.
We had a great experience with the help of Eviva Tour. Since we first contacted them until we returned home, employees of the company treated and helped us so well with enthusiasm. They were not just only a service provider to us but also were our friend during the trip.
We hope you will have a great experience in Sapa like we did.
