9 step to explore Hoi An, Vietnam

Step 1.Walk around the old town

When tourists come to town of Hoi An, the most wonderful thing is walking around tranquil streets, looking at the old houses and quiet alleys. Nowadays, Hoi An ancient town has banned all types of motorcycles and 4-wheel vehicles go into the old town. If you are not used to walking, you can rent a bike for 40.000VND/day. If you visit heritage sites in the old town you will have to buy ticket; with domestic passenger, fare is 45.000VND/pax/turn; for foreign visitors is 90.000VND/pax/turn. From 8 guests or more, the guide will be free.

Step 2.Making clothes in the old town

People whose clothes were made in Hoi An agree that making clothes here are cheaper, more beautiful and faster than other places. Only in a few hour, tailor will finish making the clothes for you. Even if you cannot wait, just need to give them your measurement and address, the shop will send the products to the place for you.

Some famous shop for making clothes are: shop Thu Thuy, Yaly, Phuong Huy, Thang Loi, A Dong Silk, Dong A, Bao Khanh, Gia Hung, Hanh Hung …

Step 3.Swimming at Cua Dai Beach

Cua Dai is a beautiful beach which has very fresh seafood at low prices. This beach is just 5 km away from Hoi An, there are many ways for tourists to come here such as: bike rental, motorbike taxi or taxi. If you are not used to walking, you can rent a motorbike for 120.000VND/day (you will have to pour gasoline)

Step 4.Swimming in An Bang beach

Passing Tra Que vegetable village, tourists will come to An Bang beach. Here, you will feel the fresh air, watching the beauty of the sea at sunrise and walk on the beautiful white sand dunes. Currently, there are many store, restaurants ready to serve customer.

Step 5.Go to Thu Bon River

You can take a tour along the Thu Bon River. There are beautiful sand dunes, rice fields, mountains along two sides of the river. Besides, the sunset on the Thu Bon River can make visitors feel excited.

Step 6.Visit the traditional villages

Coming to Hoi An, you cannot ignore the traditional villages. Some traditional villages are very famous in Hoi An such as: Kim Bong carpentry village , Thanh Ha pottery village, Cam Ha flower village , Thanh Nam fishing village , Tra Que vegetable village. Each village has a specific job and work to live. Coming here, you will see the daily life of people as well as directly see the traditional products in Hoi An.

Step 7.Visiting Cu Lao Cham

Cu Lao Cham consists of many islands in Tan Hiep commune, Hoi An. You can get there from Cua Dai with about 30 minutes by speedboat. Cu Lao Cham has a prominent biodiversity of natural forests, beautiful beaches, coral reefs and many valuable kinds of seafood.

Step 8.Enjoy delicious dishes

Go to Hoi visitors should not miss the opportunity to enjoy good food like: “My Quang”, “Banh vac”, “Cao Lau” …. You should ask people where you can eat these food because they know where the food taste good.

Step 9.Shopping

Lantern in Hoi An is pretty beautiful and lightweight which is really suitable for tourist to buy as a souvenir. You can buy lanterns in shops on Tran Phu Street or shops on Le Loi Street; the price for a lantern is not too high, from 50,000 to 80,000 VNĐ / lantern. Beside, shoes and souvenirs in Hoi An are also diverse and beautiful.
